New Revised Edition

August 26, 2011

A new revised edition is now available from St. Herman Press.

This new addition appears to have much additional worthwhile material:  for example, an appendix of 16 modern Saints on evolutionism, including St. John of Kronstadt, St. Justin Popovich, and Elder Paisius.

1140 pages
[the original is 710 pages]

1st Edition

Dear Reader,
I'm  sharing my copy of the original Genesis, Creation and Early Man with others on a private blog.  It has to be a private blog because of copyright issues.   If you send me your email address, I will send you an invitation to access the blog.

Book Review

I sent copies of this book, the 2nd edition, to each my daughter and my grandson with this caveat:

October 2011
re: Genesis, Creation and Early Man, 2nd edition
Dear Gabriella, Matthias,

This book has an author and an editor.
The author is Fr. Seraphim Rose who died in 1982.
The editor is Abbot Damascene Christensen who is among the living.

The editor gathered all of Fr. Seraphim's creation teachings together and made them into a book.  We are very grateful to the editor for making this book available to us.

Everything Fr. Seraphim writes is good and can be trusted.
Most of what Abbot Damascene writes is good, but can't be trusted to be free from world Orthodox influence.

I want you to read this book.  Here are the rules:

1.  Ignore any mention of God's "uncreated energies" or "uncreated logi" by the editor or, for that matter, by any Church Father less than 200 years old.

2.  The editor misuses the word "cosmos."  Substitute either "creation," or "universe," or "world"  –which ever works better.

3.  Ignore any pro-MP propaganda [found in the preface].  Communism did not fall.  The KGB is still here.

4.  Be sure to also read the Editor's Epilogue of the 1st edition of this book, which shows the important connection between the beginning of the world and the end of the world.

Orthodox Evolutionists

See in the sidebar I've started a list of Orthodox evolutionists.  Do you know of any others?  Please tell me.

I want to list the clergy and accepted teachers, reposed and living.  [Sorry, Lev Puhalo is not considered as "accepted."]

Are there ANY respected Orthodox evolutionists today?
