Criticism of the 2nd Edition

Centripetal Force – why even mention it?
excerpt from Joanna's notepad

. . . Centripetal force is what happens like in a "black hole."  Bringing up the subject of black holes does nothing to help us get AWAY from the idea that earth is a speck in an infinite cosmos.  What we want is to get INTO the idea of the contained but infinite universe, the earth-CENTERED thinking of the Holy Fathers.  For people who understand it, I think it gives glory to God, showing how grace works in the Church – this grace, which when outside the Church, is only like the wind and we know not from where it comes nor to where it goes...  But INSIDE the Church we can know something about where it comes from and where it goes...

contained but infinite is the same ungraspable concept of God contained in the Virgin's womb.

Then another concern I have, about the new Genesis book, Platina's 2nd edition, is that the editor [Abbott Damascene] has made a noticeable SHIFT in his internal thinking/outlook since the 1st edition.  His focus used to be on the end times and antichrist, tying the beginning to the end.  Now in his 2nd edition he focuses on the "Uncreated Energies" of God.  His insistent/persistent/stubborn use of the word "cosmos" draws away from the earth-centeredness that the Holy Fathers knew.  Fr. Seraphim never used the word, "cosmos" -- so why is the neo-Platina editor repeating that word over and over?   I think the Abbot has gone off the deep end, and this book may be the last book profitable that he ever publishes.  I think heaven, St. John, Bishop Nektary and Fr. Seraphim are responsible for bringing us this book (1st edition) at this time.  To me it is a sign we are near the end.  This book can save people from a ruinous belief that has crept into our Church.

We have this book available to us today not BECAUSE of Platina, but DESPITE Platina.  We can still thank Platina for the 1st edition.
